I’m a runner, how long after a facelift until I can run again?

Question:
I’m a runner and am physically active almost every day of the week. I’m planning on having a facelift within the next 3 months and was wondering how long until I could run again after the surgery?

Answer:
There is some downtime with a facelift and most surgeons recommend a period of exercise restriction. That can vary depending on how much work is done. In general, however, it is recommended that you not run or do other aerobic exercise activities for two weeks. See the post-operative facelift instructions for more information on after surgery recuperation.

After I get injectable fillers in my face, how should I take care of this area afterwards? Do I use antibiotic creams or any special lotions? Do you provide these or do I have to buy them?

The great thing about today’s injectables is the minimal downtime. Dr. Hamilton does recommend that patients apply ice to the treated areas for the first day/evening, but make-up can be applied shortly afterwards. For those who do bruise, we can assist with make-up to help camouflage the areas. With today’s injectable fillers, most patients are back to regular activities the next day with the benefit of their new look!
