What Is Restylane®?

Restylane® is a dermal filler that features hyaluronic acid (HA). HA picks up water and binds with it, which helps your skin become better hydrated. This leads to smoother, younger-looking skin on your face. During the course of natural aging, the skin creates less HA, so it starts lacking the hydration that is essential to its vitality and radiance. Without adequate moisture, skin becomes weak and thin and loses its underlying support structure, which results in the folds, wrinkles, and lines that affect many people. Restylane® restores the skin’s supply of HA, thereby promoting optimal hydration in the skin’s deepest layers. This increased hydration plumps up your skin, improving its volume and reducing the appearance of the most common signs of aging.

The Restylane® family of injectable dermal fillers is made from clear gels that contain HA. Each of these products is developed to act similarly to the HA that is naturally contained in your own body while targeting and treating specific problem areas on your face.

How Should I Prepare For Restylane®?

Restylane® has been approved by the FDA and has been used around the world in over 10 million treatments. It is safe and effective when the injections are performed by a qualified and our advanced injectors. While Restylane® is made of natural ingredients and allergic reactions are exceedingly rare, you should still notify our advanced injector before the treatment if you have a history of allergic reactions or any ongoing health problems. Similar to all dermal fillers, you should let our advanced injectors know if you’ve recently had any other injections or if you’re using any medications or supplements. Your treatment may have to be postponed if you have active infections, rashes, acne, cold sores, inflammation or skin irritation.

How Is Restylane® Administered?

Our advanced injector will use a topical anesthetic on your skin to minimize discomfort. The Restylane® gel will then be injected directly into your skin with an ultrafine needle.
