MOXIEveryone hates aging. Everyone goes through it. Everyone wants to stop it.

While we can’t stop the aging process completely, there are many great ways to slow it down.

One of the newer options on the market is Moxi!

Moxi is a fractional laser developed by Sciton. Moxi uses a non-ablative laser, 1927m wavelength, to deliver small, microscopic injuries or ‘mends’ to the superficial layers of the skin. Think of it like your lawn being aerated. These tiny mends trigger your body’s natural healing process. As your body begins to heal, collagen and elastin fibers are stimulated, resulting in healthier, firmer, and more radiant skin.

MOXIWhat Are the Benefits of Moxi?

  • Moxi is a non-invasive laser with little to no downtime. This laser is generally pain free and can be used with a topical anesthetic for comfort.
  • The actual procedure only takes about 15 minutes and results are usually seen within 5-7 days.
  • Moxi is great for correcting pigmentation, early signs of aging, sun damage, uneven skin tone, texture, and wrinkles.
  • Moxi can be used on all skin types.
  • Can be combined with other treatments, like BBL, for better results.
  • Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer! Moxi treatments can be done year around.

What Areas Can Moxi Treat?

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Chest
  • Hands
  • Arms
  • Legs

What Should I Expect After a Moxi Treatment?

After your Moxi treatment is completed, you can expect some redness and small micro dots called mends. These mends are the tiny ‘injuries’ that the laser creates. As the mends begin to heal, they start to darken in color. These typically slough off at day 3-5, reveling fresh, healthier skin underneath. You should avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours after a Moxi treatment. You should be diligent about wearing moisturizer and sunscreen during the healing process. You should plan to stay out of the sun for a few weeks afterwards.

Am I a Good Moxi Candidate?

Moxi is generally a safe and effective treatment for mostly everyone. Moxi is safe for all skin types, but before proceeding with a treatment, you would have a consult with one of our skilled aestheticians to determine what is best for you. Moxi is recommended for a wide age range of around 20 to 60 years old. If you have a history of skin cancer, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have an autoimmune disorder, you might not be a good candidate for Moxi. Patients that are smokers, high alcohol consumers, or sun exposure may need to make lifestyle changes prior, to get the best results from a Moxi treatment.

If you are interested in learning more or if you are a candidate for Moxi, give us a call.
