Dermal Fillers and Injectables in Indianapolis, Indiana

Wrinkling, sagging and sun damaged skin are all natural signs of aging which inevitably begin to show on our skin with time. As we age, our skin is exposed to environmental pollutants and the sun’s ultraviolet rays. The skin cells gradually lose their ability to produce hyaluronic acid. The skin tissue becomes dehydrated and the collagen and elastin fibers lose their structure, resulting in a loss of skin volume and the formation of the facial wrinkles folds that are common characteristics of aged skin. Fortunately, there are non-surgical options available to help you counteract these effects and can fill the gap between skin care products and a full-fledged surgical procedure.

Dermal Fillers and Injectables in Indianapolis, Indiana

Neurotoxins (such as Botox® and Dysport®) and injectable dermal fillers are two options that can work in combination or separately to improve the appearance of lines, wrinkles, creases and sunken facial areas. Injectable dermal fillers can also be used to augment facial structures, such as cheeks or lips, to give a fuller, more youthful appearance. Located in Carmel and Greenwood, Hamilton Facial Plastic Surgery, led by double board-certified facial plastic surgeon Mark M. Hamilton, M.D., F.A.C.S., offers dermal fillers and injectables to men and women who live in and around Indianapolis, Indiana.

What Are Injectable Fillers?

There are some steps that patients can take to slow the signs of aging, but almost everyone is going to experience wrinkles, lines and sunken facial features at some point in their life. Injectable fillers, such as Juvederm®, Sculptra® and Radiesse®, can be used to treat these cosmetic issues without the need for invasive surgeries.

How Much Do Dermal Fillers And Injectables Cost In Indianapolis, Indinana?

There are a number of variables that will be taken into consideration when determining the cost of your treatment, such as the combination of products that are used. To ensure that dermal fillers and injectables are more affordable for everyone, Hamilton Facial Plastic Surgery accepts personal checks, cash and credit cards.

How Do I Know If I’m A Good Candidate for an Injectable Filler Procedure?

Injectable fillers are both safe and effective, but it is important that patients are in relatively good health and have realistic expectations about their treatment. Dr. Hamilton can give you an in-depth explanation of how these injectables work and if they will help you meet your cosmetic goals.

Dermal Fillers and Injectables Offered

What Will Happen During A Consultation For Injectable Fillers?

All patients will need to have an initial consultation with either Dr. Hamilton or our Advanced Injectors before undergoing treatment. During this consultation, we will discuss your medical history and your cosmetic goals. Patients will be given information on each individual procedure, the facility, potential risks and the associated costs. We can then decide which filler will best suit your needs and schedule a treatment date.

Will I Receive Anesthesia For My Injectable Filler Procedure?

Patients will be administered a topical anesthetic, local anesthetic or numbing gel before receiving any injections.

How Are Injectable Fillers Performed?

This quick and painless procedure involves nothing more than a series of injections just under the skin with a fine needle.

How Long Does The Procedure For An Injectable Filler Last?

Most patients will be in and out of the office in just 45 minutes, but some injectables do require multiple appointments.

How Much Pain Can I Expect From The Injectable Filler Procedure?

Due to the anesthetics, most patients feel no pain or discomfort during their treatment.

What Should I Expect Of The Recovery After My Injectable Filler Procedure?

Unlike invasive surgeries, the average patient will experience nothing more than some redness and swelling near the injection sites. These side effects are typically gone within 24 to 48 hours.

Should I Plan To Take Time Off From Work After My Injectable Filler Procedure?

Injectables have absolutely no recovery time, and you can head back to work immediately following your appointment.

Will My Injectable Filler Procedure Be Covered By Insurance?

Injectable fillers are considered to be a purely cosmetic procedure, which means that they are generally not covered by insurance.

How Long Can I Expect The Results Of My Injectable Filler Procedure To Last?

The longevity of the results varies between every patient and the filler that is used. Fillers are generally not a permanent treatment option, and most patients will need periodic treatments to maintain the results. Juvederm® and fat injections typically last for around six months, while Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm® Ultra and Ultra Plus often last for 12 months. Both Voluma® and Sculptra® are considered to be long-term treatments and can last for two years or longer. Radiesse® generally lasts for around 18 months.
