In what ways is septoplasty different from rhinoplasty?

Question:
In what ways is septoplasty different from rhinoplasty?

Answer:
A septoplasty is a procedure to straighten the septum inside the nose, correction of this often improves airflow allowing patients to breathe easier.
Rhinoplasty is surgery to alter the outside structure of the nose. It is usually done to improve the aesthetic appearance of the nose, but can also be done to improve breathing. Deciding which or if possibly both procedures are right for you begins with a consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.
