This is an in-office procedure with no down time associated. It is recommended that one 1-ml syringe be placed in each hand to see the best results. There may be some associated bruising and mild swelling post-treatment, but side effects are typically minimal.
Post-care instructions should include applying cold compresses to site immediately after treatment to reduce swelling, and to avoid touching the treated area for 6 hours following treatment to prevent injury. You can wash your hands immediately after treatment, but exercise should be postponed until 24 hours post-injection to prevent any delayed adverse effects, such as bruising.
