ARTISS for Facelift Surgery
Dr. Hamilton is the first in Indiana to use ARTISS, a fibrin sealant from Baxter for his facelift patients. This product has been shown to reduce the need for drains, decrease the likelihood of hematoma and seroma complications, and shorten the recovery time by decreasing swelling and bruising. This FDA approved product is sprayed under the facial tissues at the end of a facelift procedure. It creates a fibrin sealant using products natural to the body- Thrombin and Fibrinogen.
When using this product, Dr. Hamilton has not had to place the drains he typically places for the first 24 hours.
Our patients who have done their procedures with ARTISS have seen less bruising and swelling and have had a quicker recovery.
They have appreciated the ability to feel comfortable going out in public after only a few days with some thoughtful hair styling.
