Can you correct my deviated septum and do a cosmetic nose procedure at the same appointment?

Posted January 9, 2012 5:18 pm by Dr. Mark M. Hamilton, M.D., FACS in Rhinoplasty

Question:
Can you correct my deviated septum and do a cosmetic nose procedure at the same appointment?

Answer:
Rhinoplasty (nasal surgery) is most often done for cosmetic purposes to improve the look of a nose. Patients with difficulty breathing and a deviated septum will often combine this with cosmetic surgery. Frequently a rhinoplasty surgeon needs to harvest cartilage from the septum anyway. This allows one surgery, one recovery and often lessens the overall costs. Consult with Dr. Hamilton to see if you are a candidate for septal surgery as well as rhinoplasty
