Dr. Mark Hamilton specializes solely in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Indiana University where he also received his MD degree. He received a merit-based scholarship while in medical school and was recognized nationally for his research. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at St. Louis University, and followed this by completing a Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship through Indiana University. Dr. Hamilton is board certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
As a recognized leader in his field, Dr. Hamilton has authored multiple publications and lectured widely to his colleagues on all aspects of facial plastic surgery. In 2005, he was selected by his peers as one of Indianapolis Monthly Magazine's "Top Docs" in his field. He is actively involved at the IU School of Medicine in resident teaching and is a clinical assistant professor there. He has also served in a variety of leadership roles in the American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and presently sits on the board of directors of the Indianapolis Medical Society.
Dr. Hamilton has donated his time and support to many charitable organizations including the Julian Center, Nathan's Battle, and Project Health. He also continues to provide surgery for victims of domestic violence through the Face To Face program.
In addition, Dr. Hamilton has performed multiple pro bono makeovers including the 2004 Fox 59 Circle City Swan Makeover, the 2005 Inside Edition Extreme Makeover, and the 2006 Indianapolis Woman Dream Makeover.
